Mastering HITRUST: Simplifying Certification and Advancing AI Security

As a senior in BARR’s attest services practice, Brianna serves clients primarily in the healthcare industry to identify and mitigate cybersecurity threats by planning and executing risk assessments and technology audits against frameworks including HITRUST, ISO 27001, SOC1, and SOC 2.

Brianna is a HITRUST Certified CSF Practitioner and an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. Prior to joining BARR, Brianna was a senior consultant at Ernst & Young in the Technology Risk practice. She holds Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Villanova University. 

Jeremy Huval leads the development and execution of HITRUST’s innovation strategy, ensuring new solutions deliver value to customers, assessors, and relying parties. He oversees the rollout of HITRUST’s products and capabilities, supporting both the HITRUST Standards Development Organization and the HITRUST Assurance Program. With over a decade of experience in IT audit and compliance, Jeremy brings deep expertise in IT security, systems development, robotic process automation, and IT audits. He has extensive experience conducting IT general control audits, performing IT security risk assessments, and leading IT compliance initiatives. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Decision Sciences, along with a specialization in Internal Auditing, from Louisiana State University’s Center for Internal Auditing.
